But this is very good, I'd like to see more of what they can do with the series, they at least deserve another game to see what they can do. All and all though, I liked a different nightmare world for a change.Ĭlimax Studios is forgiven for Silent Hill Origins, I didn't like Origins, couldn't finish it. It needed more disturbing imagery, and there are ways you could have done that in the Frozen World better then this game did. That was the only time I saw something that really was freaky, when it came to the School, I think it would have been alot more frightening if there weren't just ice status, but actual people frozen in time. I remember running into the Hunter's Lodge and seeing the bear frozen in ice, and pausing a second going "What the fuck?" even though I should have been busy running. The Frozen World needed more Frozen people. I enjoyed this game alot more then I did Homecoming, but Homecoming had some quality moments too. You could have done something similar in this to make combat a way to defend yourself, but not actually a way to defeat the monsters. Silent Hill 2 and 4 balanced this out a little better by either having the monsters sometimes be super powerful like Pyramid Head, or completely unstoppable ghosts like in 4. But I would have liked to have seen a tad more combat, yeah, running from monsters was intense and scary sometimes, but at times it just got corny. This is a different kind of Silent Hill game, this game in my opinion has brought to the table a good idea for the series to go in the future in regards to the psychological profiling. If Silent Hill 3 was a sequel of Silent Hill 1 if the good ending was true, this would be lore if the bad ending were true. Okay, this is clearly a sequel to Silent Hill 1 if you got the bad ending. It sounds so dramatically different I had no idea till a friend who was over said it. did anyone realize that the theme song "Always on my Mind" is a remix of a Elvis song? I didn't know that.
